It never bodes well when a movie needs last minute reshoots. In fact, tinkering around during the late stages is often the kiss of death, suggesting that said movie has problems. However, THN suspects that isn’t the case for THE AVENGERS which is reportedly scheduled for reshoots this week. With the ensemble-fantasy wunderkind Joss Whedon at the helm, a tried and tested cast of super-folk, and the ever-reliable Marvel Studios behind the production, it’s safe to assume that all is well in THE AVENGERS camp.
However. there has apparently been a casting call in Los Angeles, which is most likely for reshoots in the Manhattan Beach Studios. There’s no word on exactly what is to be reshot or who will be involved.
Whilst the production has apparently run smoothly until now, it sounds as if last minute assembly is required for THE AVENGERS.
THE AVENGERS is directed by Joss Whedon and stars Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlet Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, and Jeremey Renner. It arrives in UK cinemas 27th April 2012.
