Fassbender On X-Men: First Class Sequel

He is currently making waves in Steve McQueen’s riveting sex-addiction drama SHAME. We will also  see him in this months Soderburgh ensemble actioner HAYWIRE, but Michael Fassbender has commented on the possible sequel to X-MEN: FIRST CLASS. Speaking at the National Board of Review Gala in New York, the in-demand actor has given the strongest indication yet that he will once more, wear Erik Lehnsherr’s metallic headpiece.

‘I have no choice. They contracted me for two options. I gotta get down with it, we’re at the ground level, but yeah I think there’s going to be another one.’

Last summer saw the mutant X-MEN franchise brought back from the brink, after the disastrous THE LAST STAND and X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE. Matthew Vaughn gave us one of the years best blockbusters with his sixties-set prequel. James McAvoy joined Fassbender as Charles Xavier, in the film that explained how their meeting and subsequent friendly relationship, turned so sour.
