Sylvester Stallone has been doing his best to reassure blood-thirsty fans after Chuck Norris insisted the script for THE EXPENDABLES 2 be edited, to reduce the amount of obscenities in the dialogue, and in order for it’s rating to be reduced from a 15 to a PG-13. Norris was concerned that the frequency and potency of the profanities would result in the exclusion of younger viewers.
Stallone had this to say when asked about the decision:
‘The PG-13 rumor is true, but before your readers pass judgement, trust me when I say this film is LARGE in every way and delivers on every level. This movie touches on many emotions which we want to share with the broadest audience possible, BUT, fear not, this barbeque of grand scale ass bashing will not leave anyone hungry.’
So, there you have it: Chuck Norris is not down with swearing but roundhouse kicks to the face and ‘ass bashing on a grand scale’ is absolutely fine. This does raise some questions, but who are we to argue with the great bearded one?
The sequel is directed by Simon West and co-stars Jason Statham, Bruce Willis, Liam Hensworth, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jet Li, Jean-Claude van Damme, Dolph Lundgren and Terry Crews.
THE EXPENDABLES 2 is due to hit American theatres in August and will arrive in the UK soon after (the precise date is unavailable at present).

This is horrible, The Expendables is based on the return of our Rated R, Butt kicking action stars, I just Hope The Movie isn’t going to be ruined, They should defiantly make an unrated Version with all the action and Cursing in it for the fans of the Franchise and Chuck should have thought about what he was doing when he read the script Thanks Chuck For Ruining this especially if it isn’t better than the first!
