Joseph Kosinksi, known for his 2010 film TRON LEGACY, has announced the two female leads for his new, as yet untitled, project. Olga Kurylenko and Andrea Riseborough will be starring alongside the long since announced Tom Cruise.
The film, based around Knosinksi’s own Radical Publications comic book series, is set in a post-apocalyptic future where the majority of humanity exists far above the inhospitable Earth’s surface. The plot follows Jak (Cruise), a maintenance drone who discovers a woman, Julia, in a crashed craft. They’re then swept into an adventure which causes Jak to question his life and view of the world.
Kurylenko, known for her role in the QUANTUM OF SOLACE and Riseborough, most recently involved in Madonna’s W.E, are one of the actresses replacing Jessica Chastain who was reported to have landed a role back in September. However, it emerged she was unable to sign on due to commitment with Kathryn Bigelow on her untitled Osama bin Laden project.
