That’s right, they’re remaking another classic from the 1980s in the form of SHORT CIRCUIT. ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS helmer Tim Hill is all set to direct the movie for Dimenson Films, which revolves around a robot who gets brains when he’s accidentally electocuted. The good news is that the original film’s producer David Foster is coming back to produce the new film but the news today is that Matt Lieberman, who apparently is a graduate of the Disney Writer’s Program, is on board to write the screenplay for the flick.
Dimension are hoping for a Summer 2013 release, with shooting kicking off later in the year.
