The first one is not even in cinemas yet, but its still my most anticipated films of 2012. THE RAID, which is directed Welsh helmer Gareth Huw Evans, is an Indonesian flick that revolves around a SWAT team who have to deal with a bunch of bad guys holed up in a big building in Jakarta. Well, it seems that Sony are very positive on the success of the yet to be released first movie, so much so that that they have already commissioned a sequel in prebuying the US distribution rights to the planned movie.
The film, which has the working title BERANDAL, is thought to kick off immediately after the endof the first movie and will have a more substantial budget than that of the original.
THE RAID is set to hit US cinemas mid-March and a TBA release for the UK. Darn it. Watch the trailer for the film below.
