Now for something really different. Jessica Chastain (Oscar-nominated for her role in THE HELP) and Joel Edgerton (Tom Hardy’s sparring partner in WARRIOR) have reportedly signed up for a double-feature film project, chronicling the disappearance of a woman from two different perspectives.
THE DISAPPEARANCE OF ELEANOR RIGBY: HIS and THE DISAPPEARANCE OF ELEANOR RIGBY: HERS focuses on a couple’s troubled marriage and, most likely, the events leading up to the wife’s disappearance. Chastain is set to play the wife who returns to college, while Edgerton will appear as her restraunt-owner husband. HIS will follow the story from Edgerton’s perspective and HERS details Chastain’s outlook of events.
Though the two features would be screened back-to-back, HIS and HERS are expected to be stand-alone pictures. Ned Benson will write and direct both films.
