All those fans in great anticipation of the upcoming THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN have yet another treat to make the wait more bearable. Columbia Pictures has updated their official SPIDERMAN site, adding new photos and wallpapers, along with avatars and character sheets for Ben and May Parker (Martin Sheen and Sally Field) and Richard and Mary Parker (Campbell Scott and Embeth Davidtz).
The film spectacular follows the story of high school outcast Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), who was abandoned by his parents when he was a boy and was raised by his Uncle Ben (Martin Sheen) and Aunt May (Sally Field). Finding his place in life and his way with his crush Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone), Peter’s life takes a turn when he discovers a briefcase that belonged to his father, leading him on a quest to find out why his parents disappeared. Ending up in Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors (Rhys Ifans), his father’s former partner, Peter is set on a collision course with Connors’ alter ego The Lizard, leaving him with the life-changing choice to use his powers and become a hero.
The film will open in theatres on the 3rd July and audiences will have to choice to see it in 3D, 2D or IMAX. Our prediction is this will be one of the biggest hits of the summer.
