The much-awaited second season of HBO’s GAME OF THRONES is slowly but surely approaching, and it has a simple but effective poster to prove it. The fantasy epic restarts on 1st April (unless the whole thing is a big seasonal Fool from HBO), leading to plenty of discussion between friends about whether they’ll like it if they don’t generally like fantasy.
To UK viewers the more important reminder may be that the DVD of the superb first season will finally be released on 5th March.
In fact the first third of 2012 is shaping up to be a cracker, TV wise. HBO has already hit home with David Milch’s LUCK, renewed for a second season, and its top comedy EASTBOUND AND DOWN is at long last coming back this very Sunday. In more prestigious TV news, MAD MEN’s fifth season will kick off on March 25th. This season should take place around 1967, so could feature Don taking a break from the ad game to kick back and enjoy the Summer of Love. Probably won’t, though.
