If you’re a wrestling fan, like me, you’ll have been seeing a whole lot of The Rock recently, as he’ll be facing John Cena at Wrestlemania 28 in a match for the ages. If you’re not a wrestling fan (presumably because you’re A. an adult or B. a female), you’ll know him more as action hero Dwayne Johnson and may have seen his gladiatorial physique on the sides of buses for JOURNEY 2: THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND. Those photos of him are life size by the way.
Well The Great One, as he is sometimes known, is about to get even greater, as he has been cast as HERCULES. This latest version will be based on the graphic novel HERCULES: THE THRACIAN WAR by Steve Moore and will be adapted by Ryan Condal. Brett Ratner will fill the director’s chair for his first full length movie since his wacky Oscars adventure (what a character!)
Johnson though, will be very busy until shooting starts in October, as he will be finishing work on the 6th FAST & FURIOUS movie (presumably called FASTEST AND FURIOUSTESTest) and Michael Bay’s PAIN AND GAIN with Mark Walhberg. He also stars in G.I. JOE: RETALLIATION which is released on the 22nd of June.
