Farscape Star For Doctor Who Role

Following on from Sci-Fi stalwart Mark (FIREFLY, SUPERNATURAL, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA) Sheppard’s fantastic guest appearance on Doctor Who last year, it looks as though Steven Moffat’s looking to give other prominent stars of US genre shows a trip to Cardiff, starting with FARSCAPE and STARGATE SG1’s Ben Browder.

Whilst SFX has confirmed Browder’s casting, the rumours persist that Browder is starring in a Wild West set episode written by BEING HUMAN’s Toby Whithouse, which is currently being filmed in Spain.  Browder’s been off TV screens for a good few years now, his last major role saw him reprising his role as Cameron Mitchell in a couple of Stargate straight to DVD Movies in 2008, although the actor recently this year enjoyed a guest appearance in CHUCK

More importantly though for WHO fans is whether this Episode will be another chance for the Eleventh Doctor to don his rather cool Stetson.  Here’s hoping.

Stetsons are cool.

From an early age, Matt Dennis dreamt of one day becoming a Power Ranger. Having achieved that dream back in the noughties, he’s now turned his hand to journalism and broadcasting. Matt can often be found in front of a TV screen, watching his current favourite shows such as DOCTOR WHO, GAME OF THRONES, SHERLOCK, DAREDEVIL, and THE WALKING DEAD, though he’s partial to a bit of vintage TV from yesteryear. Matt also co-presents the Geek Cubed podcast, which you can download from iTunes. It’s quite nice.
