With Angelina Jolie confirmed as the title character of Disney’s live-action SLEEPING BEAUTY (taken from the villain’s perspective), another cast member is about to join her. SUPER 8 starlet Elle Fanning is expected to sign-up for the role of Princess Aurora in MALEFICENT.
The film will be visual-effects specialist Robert Stromberg’s directorial debut and is expected to roll before cameras in the next few months. The film was specifically put-together with Jolie in mind for the lead, which saw the Oscar-winning actress, jump at the opportunity to play such an iconic and memorable villain.
Fanning will soon be seen in Cameron Crowe’s sentimental true-story WE BOUGHT A ZOO, opposite Matt Damon and Scarlett Johansson, which is released 16th March.
