Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis have both confirmed that they’ll be starring alongside each other in Christopher Storer’s upcoming romantic comedy, RELANXIOUS.
After you’ve untied your tongue (the title can throw you off a little), the premise of the film surrounds Wilde’s character Barrett, a kooky, anxiety-crippled lady who falls in love with agoraphobe George. You’re probably asking “How are they going to make this work?” With the power of the telephone! Barrett and George communicate over the phone while dreaming up fantasy dates. But eventually the time comes for them to meet face-to-face and ditch their psychological problems. Will they make it? Will it work?
The film also stars Brie Larson (SCOTT PILGRIM vs. THE WORLD, 21 JUMP STREET) as Barrett’s sister and Fred Armisen (SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, THE SMURFS) as one of George’s few friends and the pairs go-between.
Although the main plot details haven’t really been used before, I could probably predict the ending. However, it’s good to see Wilde in more main character roles – this only adds to her busy year ahead.
