Jurassic Park Will Roar Back In Cinemas Next Summer…In 3D

Steven Spielberg’s 1993 box-office behemoth JURASSIC PARK will follow in the footsteps of the recent re-releases, THE PHANTOM MENACE, THE LION KING and James Cameron’s forthcoming TITANIC by making the move into 3D. Stunning audiences upon its initial release, the dinosaur epic was based on Michael Crichton’s best-selling novel.

Now plans are in place to milk the franchise’s first film even further by taking the now natural step into the next dimension. The decision will no doubt have been made to capitalise of the long-rumoured forth entry, which is being talked-up to begin shooting next year.

JURASSIC PARK 3D is expected in cinemas summer 2013, which amazingly coincides with the film’s 20th anniversary.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
