Michael Shannon’s career has come on leaps and bounds over the last year or two. Incredible intense performances in BOARDWALK EMPIRE, TAKE SHELTER and REVOLUTIONARY ROAD led to Zack Snyder casting him as iconic villain, General Zod in the upcoming Superman reboot MAN OF STEEL.
Before we see him attempt to unleash hell on Metropolis, Shannon will next be seen as the notorious mob assassin Richard Kuklinski in THE ICEMAN. Given the moniker for his emotionless actions, Kuklinski made his living for decades, dispatching witnesses, rival gangsters and thugs, all while living behind the mask of a loving and devoted family man.
Here we have the new poster for THE ICEMAN, the film also stars Ray Liotta, James Franco, Chris Evans, David Schwimmer and Winona Ryder. Ariel Vroman directs from Anthony Bruno’s same titled novel. There is currently no release slated as-yet, but the film is expected later this year.
