A second character poster has been released for the Walter Salles (SENNA, PARIS, JE T’AIME)-directed Jack Kerouac novel adaptation ON THE ROAD.
The trailer was released nearly two weeks ago, along with the character poster for Viggo Mortensen’s Old Bull Lee (you can see the article here). Now we have a glimpse at the poster for Tom Sturridge’s character Carlo Marx, which features the tagline “We’re alive!”
Also starring in the film is Sam Riley as Sal Paradise (said to be Kerouac’s alter-ego), Garrett Hedlund as Dean Moriarty, Kristen Stewart as Marylou, Kirsten Dunst as Camille, Amy Adams as Jane and Steve Buscemi, whose role is yet to be announced. A lot of buzz on the Internet has been around Stewart’s post-TWILIGHT role and from the trailer she seems to be taking risks. However, the cast list looks strong and with many book fans awaiting the release, this adaptation could be a big hit.
ON THE ROAD is directed by Walter Salles and is set for release from 21st September, 2012 – however, there is a rumour it may be premiered at Cannes Film Festival.
