WWE Studios Cast Lead In Leprechaun Reboot

WWE Studios have cast a lead actor for their reboot of cult horror franchise THE LEPRECHAUN.

A few weeks ago, THN reported the collaboration between Lionsgate and the wrestling based film company (you can see the original article here), and we had a stab at guessing who they would cast. We were bang on the money (or pot o’gold, if you will). We imagined they would cast Hornswoggle, the wrestling leprechaun, and sure enough, WWE have announced that he will play the evil little fella in what they have titled LEPRECHAUN: ORIGINS.

To be fair, it was rather clear casting. To us wrestling fans, anyway. But what does the title tell us? Well, they’re doing a BATMAN BEGINS on our asses. Taking us back to the beginning, telling us how the Leprechaun came to be. Some people might assume its another X:MEN spin-off, running alongside WOLVERINE, with a title like LEPRECHAUN: ORIGINS.

Well, we’re going to have to keep on guessing as the film is yet to attach a director, writer or supporting cast. Let us not forget that Jennifer Aniston starred in the original movie alongside Warwick Davis. Will she resume her breakout role? Only time will tell.

As wrestling/cult film fans, THN is getting on at the ground level with this franchise, and we are going to keep a close eye on its progress.

Whether you want us to or not. Sure and Begorrah!
