Meyer’s THE HOST may not be released for another year but there’s a few subtle hints of marketing being released already and they all focus on Saoirse Ronan who plays the role of lead character Melanie Stryder. First up we featured the teaser trailer and not long after, the first official still. Tonight, we’re pleased to present the official poster that once again makes you want to look again into the eyes – and the soul – of Stryder.
For those who don’t know, THE HOST centres on the survival of the human spirit in a time of war. We’ve been invaded by an unseen Alien enemy and humans have become hosts, their minds have become a hive of another being but the bodies remain the same. The story goes that most of humanity has succumbed to this infestation but one particular soul beings to fight the so-called ‘Wanderer’. Check out the high-res poster right here:
