Emily Blunt has been very busy lately. With her films THE FIVE-YEAR ENGAGEMENT and LOOPER both coming out later this year, it has now been reported that she will also be acting alongside Tom Cruise in the new Doug Liman (THE BOURNE IDENTITY, MR. AND MRS. SMITH) movie called ALL YOU NEED IS KILL.
Based on a graphic novel by the same name, this action-packed film follows the story of a soldier fighting a war against an alien race. However he has a problem, he is caught in a time loop and is constantly finding himself on the last day of his battle. And as he becomes more skilled, the time approaches for him to change his fate.
Cruise will play the character of the time-loop fighter, while Blunt will star as his sidekick in the battle against the aliens. It feels a bit like an action version of GROUNDHOG DAY, and with Emily’s natural on-screen quality and Tom’s experience in action scenes, ALL YOU NEED IS KILL already looks like a hit.
