Tom Cruise. That is one busy A-lister. The Cruise has, **deep breath**, ROCK OF AGES, ONE SHOT, TOM GUN 2, MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 5, OBLIVION and ALL YOU NEED IS KILL on the cards in various states of production, and now he is in talks to star in and produce a reboot of VAN HELSING which TRANSFORMERS scribes Robert Orci and Alex Kurtzman are developing at Universal, thestudio which they announced they had struck a new first look deal with.
“We’re thrilled to call Universal Pictures our home,” said Kurtzman and Orci. “They really understand the importance of building a strong creative team and giving our shared projects their full support. We’re proud to start making movies that will live as part of Universal’s enduring legacy.”
So, VAN HELSING. Remember the awful 2004 movie with Hugh Jackman starring. Bad wasn’t it? Well, it did make over $300 million so no wonder Uni want a reboot.
In additional news Kurtzman and Orci are also rebooting THE MUMMY franchise at the studio, famous for its monster movies of old.
