Schwarzenegger Set For ‘Ten’

Since leaving his political post as the Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger has launched himself back into the movie business to quick effect. Although we have yet to see him in a lead, that will come with January’s actioner THE LAST STAND. He does have significant roles in the upcoming THE EXPENDABLE 2 and the currently shooting equally all-star prison thriller, THE TOMB.

However, THN can now confirm the TERMINATOR star has signed on for the lead in David Ayer’s TEN, the story of an elite team of DEA agents, whose latest mission; to raid a notorious drug-cartels safe house, turns out to be organised robbery by an unknown member of the squad. He begins killing-off each individual, in order to keep his dirty secret, exactly that.

Ayer has his latest effort, the Jake Gyllenhaal-led cop-thriller END OF WATCH, out later this year.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
