Amy Adams Looking To Go ‘Dark Places’ In New Thriller

Oscar-nominee Amy Adams will soon be seen as the iconic love-interest Lois Lane in Zach Snyder’s Superman reboot MAN OF STEEL. Other projects on the horizon also are baseball drama TROUBLE WITH THE CURVE, opposite Clint Eastwood and Justin Timberlake, a Walter Salles adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s epic novel ON THE ROAD and Paul Thomas Anderson religious-thriller THE MASTER. Isn’t she a busy lady?

Now the flame-haired beauty is set to headline DARK PLACES, a murder-mystery thriller based on the best-selling novel by Gillian Flynn. DARK PLACES will see Adams appear as Kansas-native Libby Day, who as a young girl, survived the slaughter of her family, and went on to testify against her brother as the one responsible. Years later, a secret society comes forward with proof of his innocence, leaving Libby to question her actions…and an obsession to find the truth.

DARK PLACES will be directed by Gilles Paquet-Brenner.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
