A new poster has surfaced straight from the Cannes Film Festival for new crime thriller KILLING THEM SOFTLY, starring Brad Pitt and directed by Andrew Dominik.
Adapted from the book ‘Cogan’s Trade’, the plot focuses around Jackie Cogan (Brad Pitt), an enforcer who starts investigating a heist which suspiciously takes place during a high-stakes poker game. Casey Affleck, James Gandolfini, Ray Liotta, Scoot McNairy, Sam Shepard, Richard Jenkins, Bella Heathcote and Ben Mendelsohn also star alongside Pitt, making sure this cast list has maximum impact.
Dominik has previously collaborated with Pitt and Affleck on THE ASSASSINATION OF JESSE JAMES BY THE COWARD ROBERT FORD (2007), leading to two Academy Award nominations. Hopefully that’ll be a good omen, as KILLING THEM SOFTLY is currently being shown at Cannes and has a nomination for the Palme d’Or award.
KILLING THEM SOFTLY, directed by Andrew Dominik, is being shown at Cannes Film Festival and has a US release date of 21st September, 2012.
