Whilst the world (and box office) has been going AVENGERS mad, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES has been quietly biding its time, waiting to strike from the shadows and remind us why it’s the finest comic-book franchise ever.
And as we near the release date, expect Warner Bros to crank the publicity up to eleven. This will be Christopher Nolan’s Batman swansong, before the property is rebooted to tie in with an inevitable Justice League of America movie. And Hollywood’s finest working director is sure to want to exit the series with a bang – at the very least a serious superhero smackdown between Batman (Christian Bale) and Bane (Tom Hardy).
