A Couple Of Terrific Clips From Pitt & Dominik’s ‘Killing Them Softly’

Previously titled COGAN’S TRADE, KILLING THEM SOFTLY sees Brad Pitt reunite with director Andrew Dominik following the brilliant (and quite frankly beautiful) epic western THE ASSASSINATION OF JESSE JAMES BY THE COWARD ROBERT FORD. This time around, Pitt plays mob enforcer Jackie Cogan, who leads an investigation into a heist, during a high-stakes poker game. The film is an adaptation of the 1974 novel by legendary crime writer George V. Higgins.

Having also the directed CHOPPER, the darkly comic biopic of Aussie career criminal Mark Brandon Read, Dominik looks to be back in the murky (under)world of violent hoodlums and gangland slayers.

THN has a couple of new clips from the film that has just premièred at the Cannes Film Festival. The all-star cast includes James Gandolfini, Richard Jenkins, Scoot McNairy, Garrett Dillahunt, Sam Shepard, Ben Mendelsohn and Ray Liotta. The film hits cinemas 21st September.
