Last week the film world went crazy as the trailer for Baz Luhrmann’s adaptation of THE GREAT GATSBY was released. With another 7 months of waiting to go, some fans may be going a little stir-crazy – but don’t worry, as we have a new still to show you to help calm you down!
Leonardo DiCaprio stars as Jay Gatsby, an elusive party-thrower who tries to win back his old love, Daisy (played by Carey Mulligan). From this new image, it seems as if it may be working as the two lean against a huge tree, looking deeply into each other’s eyes. As someone commented on the image, Mulligan does indeed look like a fairy, while DiCaprio looks as decadent as ever. The trailer gave us a good look at the cinematography and mise-en-scene involved and everything seems to have a touch of Luhrmann about it, as we’d expect after seeing him direct ROMEO + JULIET and MOULIN ROUGE!
