‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ Aussie Trailer Offers New Footage!

Many of us at THN headquarters are considered proud superhero and comic book geeks. And the red and blue spandex-wearing web-slinger Spider-Man (and his alter-ego Peter Parker) is a particular favourite of this 32-year-old writer. After Sam Raimi’s record-breaking origin tale, superior sequel, then downright dire third effort, many of us fans thought a SPIDER-MAN reboot may have come too soon.

Who cares! It’s bloody SPIDER-MAN, and the more we see of the crime-fighting wall crawler the better. In charge time around is director Marc Webb, who gave us the brilliant 500 DAYS OF SUMMER and is perhaps the only man capable of making the doe-eyed, adorable, and stunning Zooey Dechannel, appear like an evil Lucifer-type figure (heart-breaker!). The lead cast for THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN appears just as hot, with RED RIDING and NEVER LET ME GO’s ace Andrew Garfield set to lock lips with original true-love Gwen Stacey, played by Emma Stone.

Here THN has the brand new Australian trailer for THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN that features some previously unseen footage. The film swings into cinemas 4th July and co-stars Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, Campbell Scott and Embeth Davidtz.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
