You’ve probably heard a few things already on Burton’s FRANKENWEENIE, including the fact he’s gone back to make a feature from the short that got him sacked from Disney in 1984 and, ironically, they’re the film company behind this new stop-motion tail [sic]. This full-feature is a tribute and homage to Mary Shelley’s FRANKENSTEIN but concentrates on a young Victor who loses his favourite dog, Sparky to the farm house in the sky and then tries to bring him back to life…
An early shot paid its respects towards 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA and the eagle eyed chaps over at EW, also noted…is that a sea monkey from CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON in the bottom left of this poster? Scroll down for the trailer but first, here it is:
