Following his upcoming role in DJANFO UNCHAINED as freed slave-turned-bounty hunter, Jamie Foxx is set to play the US president in WHITE HOUSE DOWN. The film – directed by Roland Emmerich – will also star Channing Tatum as a secret service agent charged with protecting Foxx during a gun-toting smackdown on home soil.
Expect Foxx to man up and kick ass for his country, no doubt teaming with Tatum to serve up some justice US-style.
Expect WHITE HOUSE DOWN to follow the tradition of ‘DIE HARD in… ‘ We’ve had a bus (SPEED), an ice rink (SUDDEN DEATH), a boat (UNDER SEIGE), and even the mountains (CLIFFHANGER) – this time around some fool gonna try bust up the Prez’ hood, guy.
Foxx will undoubtedly follow in the footsteps of other movie presidents to have proved themselves ‘a bit tasty’ when push came to shove, such as Harrison Ford in AIR FORCE ONE , and more impressively, Bill Pullman in Emmerich’s INDEPENDENCE DAY.
