Two Toy Story Shorts Coming In 2013 And 2014

Two TOY STORY specials will air in 2013 and 2014, Pixar have announced.

Remember in 2010 when we all saw TOY STORY 3? How we laughed and cried, then felt conflicted. It was so good that we wanted more, but it was such a beautiful way of ending the series that any more might spoil the hitherto flawless legacy.

Well, PIXAR seem to have found a great solution; shorts. By making short films, we can revisit these classic characters but in bite size chunks, thus not impeaching on what is arguably the best trilogy of all time (suck it, STAR WARS). We were treated to two ‘TOY STORY TOONS’ which were attached to THE MUPPETS and CARS 2. In fact, some people only went to see the latter in order to watch the latest adventures of Woody and co.

Now Pixar have announced that ‘Two 22-minute TV specials are in the works for October 2013 and Spring 2014,’ presumably to air on the Disney Channel.  Not only that, but three more ‘TOY STORY TOONS’ are in production, possibly to feature before a theatrical release like the previous two, ‘Hawaiian Vacation’ and ‘Small Fry.’

This is fantastic news, and comes after the new trailer for WRECK-IT-RALPH. With BRAVE and MONSTERS UNIVERSITY waiting in the wings, Pixar and Disney are really giving us the goods.
