Well, not quite. But reports are surfacing that she is to star alongside Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx in action thriller WHITE HOUSE DOWN.
Tatum and Gyllenhaal are rumoured to feature as Secret Service agents who have to join forces when the White House is taken over by a wayward paramilitary group. If you hadn’t guessed, Jamie Foxx is set to play the President – surprise?!
Roland Emmerich, who brought us INDEPENDENCE DAY and THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW, is to direct and produce the film, accompanied by script-writer James Vanderbilt (screenwriter for THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN). If done well, this could be very successful, much like some of Emmerich’s other works.
WHITE HOUSE DOWN, directed by Roland Emmerich, is currently in pre-production.
