Michel Gondry (SCIENCE OF SLEEP, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND) is currently working on MOOD INDIGO (L’Ecume des jours) and does appear to be one of those classic ‘love or hate’ film makers. He undeniably sits on the edge of surreal and, for me, charmingly mingling between reality and dreams to invent all manners of new worlds. His new film is based on the 1947 novel L’Ecume des Jours (Froth on the Daydream) by Boris Vian from 1947. It stars Audrey Tautou as Chloë, a lady who marries an inventor but on their honeymoon fall ills after a water lily gets into her lungs….stay with me…and the only way to treat her is to surround her with flowers.
Take a look at these vividly visual images:
MOOD INDIGO doesn’t currently have a release date and also stars Omar Sy, Jamel Debbouze, Romain Duris, Gad Elmaleh, Alain Chabat and Aïssa Maïga.
