All Three ‘Avatar’ Sequels To Be Filmed Simultaneously?

It has been confirmed that James Cameron is to film not just two, but three AVATAR sequels all at the same time. Even the mere concept of this strikes fear in to my lazy heart. When will he have time to go to the bathroom? The news came from star of the first film, Sigourney Weaver, who, during a recent interview, admits to not knowing how it’ll work exactly, but says that she’ll ‘Just show up.’ Probably the best attitude to have when faced with filming three, gruelling, long awaited and highly-anticipated  blockbusters simultaneously. Despite the fate that Weaver’s character suffered in the first instalment, it appears that she’ll be returning, all blued-up, for all three sequels. Think the idea of that fazes Ripley? Hell no!

Producer Jon Landau has previously stated that the earliest possible release date for AVATAR 2 would be 2014, and more recently sources have said that filming would commence in autumn of this year. If this is the case, it’s going to be a hell of a long year in Pandora for cast and crew. But after the first film in the franchise made more than $2 billion at the box office, I wouldn’t say no.
