If you really haven’t had enough of the fast-car-bank-robbing-gun-toting genre yet, then this is your day! With just a hint of FAST & FURIOUS mixed with the laughs of THE HANGOVER, this red band trailer is not suitable for kiddies, so look away now (watch out for the nudists).
HIT AND RUN stars Dax Shepard (EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH), all-round nice guy with a shady past, who helps his girlfriend Kristen Bell (FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL) fulfill her dream and move to LA. One problem – Shepard has to break out of his Witness Protection Programme, resulting in him being pursued by a gang of…well, gangsters and a small army of police officers. Bradley Cooper features as one of the gangsters, sporting a very questionable hair style that would get him ostracized in any other situation, while Kristen Chenoweth appears as what seems to be a therapist, who tries to warn Bell away from her desired lifestyle.
Shepard not only stars as the main character but also wrote the screenplay and has directed and produced the film, meaning he has a lot riding on the its success. Will it be a hit at the box-office? Only if the actual film has more to it than what the trailer shows us. It has potential but I think it might just be a mash-up of elements we’ve seen before.
HIT AND RUN, directed by Dax Shepard, is due for a UK release from 12th October 2012. It’s released in the US from 24th August 2012.

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone. When she’s not examining her bruises, she likes pretending that she doesn’t live in Southend-On-Sea and spends hours mindlessly blogging. Favourite films include BLUE VALENTINE, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and TOY STORY 2.
