Whilst Tom Cruise comes nowhere near the six-foot-plus stature of author Lee Child’s ex-military cop JACK REACHER, there’s no doubt the actor puts his all into every role he takes. His controversial casting has alienated some fans of Child’s best-selling novels, however with THE USUAL SUSPECTS scribe Christopher McQuarrie at the helm, we could be in store for a kick-ass treat.
JACK REACHER is based in Child’s novel ‘One Shot’ and is the first of hopefully for fans, and all those involved – a planned franchise. McQuarrie hasn’t directed a film since the awesome action-packed and violent modern classic THE WAY OF THE GUN in 2000. He’s been keeping busy with scripts for forthcoming flicks JACK THE GIANT KILLER, THE WOLVERINE and TOP GUN 2. THN is able to bring you the first official image for the action-thriller released 28th December.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
