Three’s Company: New Total Recall Trailer

Three’s a crowd it would seem, as we finally see Colin Farrell encounter a triple-breasted mutant in the latest trailer for TOTAL RECALL, the remake of the Arnold Schwarzenegger film from 1990. This time around Colin Farrell takes over from Arnie, and Len Wiseman directs instead of Paul Verhoeven.

Farrell plays Doug Quaid (a name which reminds mof Jonah Hill’s faux identity in 21 JUMP STREET), a man who’s bored with life. He visits a company known as Rekall, which can help you live out simulated fantasies implanted into the psyche. He soon finds his mind being messed with and can no longer discern what is reality…

The trailer doesn’t have a lot of new footage, but we do get to see some Bryan Cranston and Farrell taking on a robot. It also promises a CG-heavy affair. Wonderful moments of practical film making, such as the fake head, have now been replaced by pixels. It still looks mighty impressive though, and visually different enough to separate it from the original.

Total Recall will be released 29th August 2012. It stars Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Bryan Cranston, Jessica Biel, Bill Nighy, and Ethan Hawke.
