Fascinating Trailer For Compliance

An official trailer for the controversial thriller COMPLIANCE has just been released. The film is based on a bizarre and fascinating true story in which a man, claiming to be a detective, called a number of fast food restaurants and convinced managers to conduct strip searches of their staff. These occurrences happened for over a decade before a man was arrested.

COMPLIANCE is written and directed  by Craig Zobel and examines how humans can be submissive and easily lead. The story has already been the inspiration of an episode of LAW AND ORDER: SVU and a short film titled PLAINVIEW. The trailer is creepy and suspenseful, but will probably be met with accusations of ‘Who would be that stupid?’ by those not familiar with the case.

COMPLIANCE is looking for an August release in the US, with a UK date yet to be announced. It stars Ann Dowd, Dreama Walker, and Pat Healy.
