‘Snuff’ For Everyone As Palahniuk’s Novel Comes To The Screen

Chuck Palahniuk is an acquired taste, his stories are dark and bleak in tone and cast the kind of social judgement that would put others in prison (well maybe not). David Fincher’s screen version of FIGHT CLUB is a masterpiece and is as near to perfect as it could have been in capturing the paranoid and dank feel of the book and next on the horizon for Palahniuk adaptations is SNUFF a novel that makes FIGHT CLUB seem like THE HUNGRY CATERPILLAR; SNUFF is based in the green room of the worlds largest gang-bang with a fading Porn star wishing to leave a legacy and three stories from the 600 participants. I know what you’re thinking and in truth the novel is probably worse than that, it will be adapted by Fabien Martorell and Golan Ramras with Martorell set to direct.

Being a fan of Palahniuk (if that’s the correct term) I’m always intrigued to see how his stories work on screen but I think even I’ll be giving this a wide berth, but what do you think of this news? Let us know.

Favourite films include THE LOST BOYS, DRIVE, FIGHT CLUB and COMMANDO, well pretty much any 1980s Arnie film you can throw his way…even RED SONJA. Sam once cancelled a Total Film subscription after they slagged off Teen Wolf. He resubscribed 2 days later.
