You may have seen the paparazzi photos of Naomi Watts on set, but here’s the first official photo as Princess Diana. Watts plays Princess Diana in the now-renamed DIANA (Previously CAUGHT IN FLIGHT), the latest film from German director Oliver Hirschbiegel – the man responsible for the brilliant DOWNFALL (2004) and THE EXPERIMENT (2001). CAUGHT IN FLIGHT will focus on Diana’s relationship with heart surgeon Hasnat Khan, played by LOST’s Naveen Andrews. Naomi Watts looks well-suited for the role, but we’ll have to wait for a trailer to judge her actual performance in terms of voice and mannerisms.
CAUGHT IN FLIGHT is looking for a 2013 release date. It stars Naomi Watts and Naveen Andrews.
