Considering Michael Caine has been in every Christopher Nolan-directed film since the 2005 release of BATMAN BEGINS, it really isn’t surprising that their partnership is set to continue. Yes, I just said that it is set to continue.
During a recent interview, Caine mentioned that Nolan has another idea in the works and that the two of them are going to continue to work together because ‘we’re each others’ good luck charms’. Caine carries on:
He’s got some other idea, and I’m in it! I’ve been in everything he’s done since he’s been in Hollywood. We’re each others’ good luck charms. I always say to him, ‘I’m not your good luck charm, you are mine!’
When questioned on the topic of Nolan’s retirement from the BATMAN series, Caine says that the director has to ‘go on’ – and it looks like Nolan’s taking him with him! Personally, I am a huge fan of the both of them and it’s going to be extremely exciting to see what they create next, especially since Nolan’s last non-BATMAN film (INCEPTION) was so successful.
