As any DOCTOR WHO fan knows, the approaching series will be the last for Karen Gillan. So as she steps away from the TARDIS we’ll soon see her taking on an evil mirror in OCULUS. The film focuses on a brother and sister 10 years after their parents are murdered. The brother was blamed for the crimes, but his sister, Kaylie (Karen Gillan), knows it was the result of an evil haunted mirror. Horror films regarding inanimate objects always sound a bit daft on paper, but it will all come down to the execution.
OCULUS is to be financed by Intrepid Pictures, the guys responsible for THE COLD LIGHT OF DAY, SAFE HOUSE, and THE RAVEN. Maybe not the most sterling examples, but certainly a few decent genre pics.
OCULUS is set to start filming this autumn in Alabama.
