Celeste Holm April 29 1917 – July 15 2012

Star of stage and screen Celeste Holm has sadly passed away at the age of 95. An Oscar winner for her role in GENTLEMAN’S AGREEMENT from 1947, one of the first films to deal with anti-Semitism, Holm is probably most famous for refusing roles and eventually buying out her Fox film contract to return to Broadway. Holm was truly one of the good ones, boasting lots of charity work including raising in excess of $20,000 for UNICEF by charging 50 cents for an autograph and has done a lot to promote the arts in the USA. She leaves two sons and three grand children along with her 5th husband Frank Basile.

Sam is a bloody lovely lad born and raised in Bristol (he’s still there and can’t escape). Favourite films include THE LOST BOYS, DRIVE, FIGHT CLUB and COMMANDO, well pretty much any 1980s Arnie film you can throw his way…even RED SONJA. Sam once cancelled a Total Film subscription after they slagged off Teen Wolf. He resubscribed 2 days later.
