Ted 2 In The Pipeline?

Although us Brits have to wait until August to preview the film, so far TED has already made over $190 million at the box-office and has sealed itself as being one of the most popular (and successful) R-rated films in history. Really, it’s no surprise since its creator, Seth MacFarlane, is also the man behind TV comedies FAMILY GUY and AMERICAN DAD (if you didn’t know any of this, where have you been?!)

MacFarlane appeared at the San Diego Comic Con over the weekend, where he sat on the panels for both of his TV shows. Of course, he couldn’t avoid questions popping up about his new hit film and he answered them graciously. One such question was: will there be a sequel to TED? His answer?

I’d be open to making a TED 2.

There you have it, people! It may very well happen! Considering the film has grossed nearly four times the size of the budget, MacFarlane isn’t strapped for cash and I’m sure eager fans would be more than happy to see a TED 2 (this probably means he doesn’t get killed off in the first one)!

In other MacFarlane-based news, a whole host of new celebrity voices will be appearing in the upcoming season of AMERICAN DAD, including Jon Hamm, Rupert Grint and Sarah Michelle Geller. Keep your eyes (and ears) peeled.

Co-starring Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, Giovanni Ribisi and Joel McHale, TED is due for a UK release from 1st August.

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone. When she’s not examining her bruises, she likes pretending that she doesn’t live in Southend-On-Sea and spends hours mindlessly blogging. Favourite films include BLUE VALENTINE, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and TOY STORY 2.
