Although we have to wait an extra two months (after the US) for the release of Ruben Fleischer’s GANGSTER SQUAD, we still get the privilege of seeing the character art at the same time as America – and with all the characters looking very dapper, it’s a good thing too!
Following the LAPD’s fight against the east coast Mafia, the film stars Josh Brolin, Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling, Anthony Mackie, Giovanni Ribisi and Emma Stone, who all fit in seamlessly with the 1940s and 1950s setting.
For Fleischer, GANGSTER SQUAD is a step away from what he is used to. After directing ZOMBIELAND (2009) and 30 MINUTES OR LESS (2011), it’s great to see him tackling something a little darker and serious. As you can see from the character art, everyone looks stunning. Now, is that their natural talent or have they had a little help from Photoshop?
GANGSTER SQUAD is due for a UK release from 9th November 2012.
