‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Seeks A Director – Apply Here

The hunt is on for THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY 1 & 2’s director. We know Francis Lawrence will be directing the second installment, CATCHING FIRE, which is due for release in November 2013, but who will direct the last two parts? Well, rumours are abound that all the main players, including author Suzanne Collins, are meeting now (not literally now) to discuss possible directors. No names have been touted at this stage but if rumours are to be believed, Turkey-maker Francis Lawrence beat off Tomas Alfredson (TINKER, TAILOR, SOLDIER, SPY and LET THE RIGHT ONE IN) and Duncan Jones (MOON, SOURCE CODE) for the right to direct CATCHING FIRE, so their selection process may be a little flawed. We’d love to see Gary Ross return, possibly with an axe to grind and amp up the violence or failing that Uwe Boll, if only…but in the meantime, who would you like see in the director’s chair?

Sam is a bloody lovely lad born and raised in Bristol (he’s still there and can’t escape). Favourite films include THE LOST BOYS, DRIVE, FIGHT CLUB and COMMANDO, well pretty much any 1980s Arnie film you can throw his way…even RED SONJA. Sam once cancelled a Total Film subscription after they slagged off Teen Wolf. He resubscribed 2 days later.
