New Dredd 3D Shots Released

With Sly’s 1995 effort a bonafide Lawgiver to the face for fans, Karl Urban’s portrayal of Judge Dredd looks to be a more faithful depiction of 2000 AD’s infamous lawman. Kudos for keeping the helmet on Karl. Whilst we’ve already had the trailer and another gory clip for DREDD, Aurum Productions have released a ton of new images from the film which are situated below. The synopsis for DREDD is as follows:

During a routine day on the job, Dredd is assigned to train and evaluate Cassandra Anderson (Olivia Thirlby), a rookie with powerful psychic abilities thanks to a genetic mutation. A heinous crime calls them to a neighbourhood where fellow Judges rarely dare to venture- a 200 story vertical slum controlled by prostitute-turned-druglord Ma Ma (Lena Headey) and her ruthless clan. When Dredd and Anderson capture one of the clan’s inner circle, Ma Ma overtakes the compound’s control center and wages a dirty, vicious war against the Judges that proves she will stop at nothing to protect her empire. With the body count climbing and no way out, Dredd and Anderson must confront the odds and engage in the relentless battle for their survival.

DREDD stars Karl Urban, Olivia Thirlby and Lena Headey, and is due for release on 7th September 2012.
