Neal McDonough in talks for RED 2

A-list character actor Neal McDonough is said to be in negotiations for a role in the sequel to RED, tentatively titled RED 2. McDonough, recently seen as Dum Dum Dugan in CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER, will hopefully join RED veterans Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Helen Mirren and Morgan Freeman for the sequel. Both Catherine Zeta-Jones and Byung-hun Lee have been confirmed for the new film, with Anthony Hopkins in talks for a villainous role if his THOR 2 schedule permits.

RED screenwriters Erich and Jon Hoeber are returning, with a plot centred around the gang having to first break out a man from an insane asylum to then find the destructive weapon he created.

RED 2 is due for release on 2nd August 2013.
