Costner Shows He’s A Good Sport For Disney’s ‘McFarland’

Baseball? Only Kevin Costner can make that stuff interesting of the big screen, and he’s at it again, only this time with athletics. He’ll star as Coach McFarland whose team must overcome – say it with me– racial and cultural diversity in the 1980s. Lovely stuff. And Disney knows how to pluck these strings better than any other. REMEMBER THE TITANS has made many a grown man cry (not me, mind) and MIRACLE is just brilliant. Expect a heartwarming tale and a very nice message all wrapped in Uncle Walt’s sugary packaging.

MCFARLAND is warming up, let’s hope there isn’t a false start.

Sam is a bloody lovely lad born and raised in Bristol (he’s still there and can’t escape). Favourite films include THE LOST BOYS, DRIVE, FIGHT CLUB and COMMANDO, well pretty much any 1980s Arnie film you can throw his way…even RED SONJA. Sam once cancelled a Total Film subscription after they slagged off Teen Wolf. He resubscribed 2 days later.
