Robert Redford is a huge acting hero of mine and although his directorial career may not be as impressive, his ORDINARY PEOPLE is still remembered as the film that robbed Martin Scorsese’s RAGING BULL by winning Best Director Oscar at the 1981 Academy Awards. Beyond that, maybe only the brilliant 1994 fact-based drama QUIZ SHOW is another one to tip your metaphorical hat to. Moving onto now, his latest will be political thriller THE COMPANY YOU KEEP, and will see Redford as a former activist on the run from a journalist, who’s out to expose his early radical life and an involvement in murder.
The film is based on the best-selling novel by Neil Gordon, and boasts a colossal and breathless cast that includes Shia LaBeouf, Brit Marling, Brendon Gleeson, Sam Elliot, Stanley Tucci, Chris Cooper, Anna Kendrick, Terrence Howard, Julie Christie, Richard Jenkins, Nick Nolte, Susan Sarandon and Stephen Root. THN has the first set of stills for the nail-biting thriller due in cinemas early next year.

Interesting! I am glad this movie will open at the Venice Film Festival, i am really hoping it is great! Everything looks great, i hope this will be shown before the end of the Year for Academy Awards qualification!
Was hoping also on a picture of Julie Christie, besides being the Icon she is, and has been, always find her a bit ‘overlooked’ by all press: by the way she is the female lead of this movie! She’s got 3rd billing after Redford and Shia, and plays Mimi Lurie, the real key character of the story!!!
