Rush Hour 4: Who Gives **** Is On The Way!

Our worst fears have been confirmed today as producer Arthur Sarkissian announced another RUSH HOUR is on the way. Not content with shovelling three heaps of shit on the screen, it’s been deemed another is needed to finish us off. The previous trio of dire efforts seemed to have their fans. I’ve yet to meet them though. I’m actually certain director Brett Ratner and Chris Tucker used their inflated paychecks to book every ticket. Anyway I’m off to find a noose or a razor blade. Here is what Sarkassian had to say on the matter:

I am working on RUSH HOUR 4right now with Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan. I’m trying to do it closer to how I did RUSH HOUR 1, more down to earth, more gritty, introduce two new characters and make it real the way the first one was. I personally was not happy with the third one. I thought 1 and 2 were very good. I think 3 got out of hand a little bit. It’s not a matter of just bringing them back to do another segment of that or a sequel to it by putting them in another city and having them bicker. I don’t want that. I want something new.

When pressed if that meant passing the torch to younger actors to keep the franchise going in future installments, Sarkissian stated

Maybe younger, maybe Chris is now married, maybe Jackie is married to Octavia Spencer, I don’t know. Married to Chris’s cousin, they live in Shanghai, Chris goes out to visit them. I don’t know, I want something energetic.

I think MAYBE they should all just F*ck Off!

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.

I think I may have discovered my actual guilty pleasure…the first one!

However, isn’t Tucker giant now and Chan retired?
